Virga is a meteorological event in which water molecules in the atmosphere begin to freeze
and then evaporate before reaching the ground. It is said to look like a veil of tears moving down through the sky.
This grouping of sculptures consists of a 15’ hammer made of sewn fabric with a plastic armature,
sewn black velvet scissors hung on the wall, and a cloud of tissues used to collect tears, suspended by monofilament.
